Rainy Day Activities for KIDS!

If you're not a crafty-person (and a lot of us aren't) it might seem a bit daunting to you. Perhaps the last craft you created was when you pressed your hand into some clay in grade school to make a gift for your mother or father. If that's so, don't panic! All it takes for you to be able to do this is a little ingenuity—and some planning ahead.

Maria

Maria is everyone's little sister, or at least they see it that way. She is so cute and little but has a huge personality. Maria loves to talk about all kinds of subjects and enjoys telling jokes and giggling. She is an excellent artist, loves to play with her kittens and her favorite food is hot dogs.

Ms. Erika

Ms. Erika is our cast of characters favorite teacher. She is always there to encourage them to do better. She sees her students "as her children" she says. "She is more like a mother figure than a teacher" says Peter. She has two dogs "Lappy and Happy". She loves to go on vacation and read books.

Earth Man

Well, you know who he is! We live on him every day. Earth man encourages everyone to recycle, throw away their garbage and be kind to animals. He always says, "I 'm only as healthy as the people allow me to be". He loves clean water and air.

Chang

Chang is a interesting character who loves to play harmless practical jokes on his friends. Chang gets straight A's and is always on the honor roll. Even though he does well in school, he loves to help those who may be struggling. Chang took second place at the state spelling bee three times in a row. He loves rap music, chest and his favorite food is pizza.

Sleepy Sam

Sleepy is always underestimated and misunderstood. He got his name "Sleepy Sam" because he talks really slow. What most people don't know is that Sleepy is extremely smart. He always says "don't judge a book by its cover". He loves video games, watching old movies and cooking.

Gummie

Gummie is a retired geography teacher. When he was young, he was never able to go outside of his town because his family was poor. He vowed that one day he was going to visit every State and Capital city in America. Over the past 15 years, Gummie has done just that! Gummie is also a blues singer with "Gummie and the Blue Birds". One day on stage, he made up the States and Capitals song. He now sings it all of the time in his old neighborhood to anyone who will listen.

Peter Puzzle

Peter is a kid that loves to learn but he struggles on test. When he does well, he gets so excited that he can hardly calm down. His favorite teacher, Ms. Erika, has helped him with this problem. He is learning to control himself when he gets happy. Peter loves to swim and his favorite food is peanut butter and jelly.
